WELCOME TO EAT FLY TEXAS
We're a husband and wife duo of private pilots who love to eat and love to fly in our home state of Texas. So much that we decided to create a blog about our adventures flying our family's little GA airplane to the airport diners around the state. If your idea of a Saturday well spent is flying to a little airport to eat the proverbial $100 hamburger, then you've come to the right place! Here you'll find our honest reviews of the airport diners across Texas we've been to and loved - or not loved so much.
A Little More About Us
He's a private pilot of 15 years and a 7th generation Texan. After owning or partially owning 17 separate (mostly old) airplanes, he's always seeking the next weekend adventure in the sky. He is the airplane whisperer and main PIC of the operation. After flying together for over 10 years, he finally convinced her to get her pilot's license, too.
She's a newly certified private pilot, 7th generation Texan and the main "eat" part of Eat Fly Texas. A registered dietitian, recipe developer and food photographer, she takes food seriously. She is constantly planning where the family will eat at each stop and is very, well, particular, about food. If she likes an establishment, you know it's legit.
Our mission here on Eat Fly Texas is to share the scoop on the state's many airport diners so you can be a little more prepared for your next fly-in lunch or family adventure. We hope you'll join us as we eat and fly across the great state of Texas!
